This interactive class will provide you with the skills necessary to execute the perfect end to your summer menus, using fresh and local fruits. Bay Voyage in-house Pastry Chef shares his vast background and gourmet experience garnered from exclusive private country clubs and even the Versace Mansion. Your dessert will be fit for high class presentations. Joshua Smerdon will provide a wealth of education as well with a class on chocolate percentages and a chocolate tasting!
Dessert doesn't have to be heavy, try these light summer alternatives! From lemon squares, to key lime pies, to the perfect panna cotta, Josh will show you how-to from the very beginning. All currently available on the Summer Desserts Menu at the Bay Voyage Inn Josh will show tips and tricks to the perfect creation.
As an added bonus Joshua will delight with seasonal fare created from fresh fruits. He'll teach you how to puree the fruits to get the optimal taste for any flavor sorbet you'd like to create. Sorbet is used as an intermezzo at the Bay Voyage during dinner service to cleanse the pallet and bring out the pure tastes of the entree. But sorbet makes a truly fantastic dessert as well!
These desserts will have you creating treats for friends that are light, healthy, and brilliantly presented, come share in Josh's passion for pastries!
